Child with diabetes

Holly is a 7 year old girl with type 1 diabetes. She has the t +system on her phone for a while, and is really good at entering her data every reading she takes. She is planning a trip away on Brownie camp in the summer holidays, and her mum is obviously worried about her being away and having to manage her diabetes. To overcome this, here mum can simply set herself up on the system as Holly's carer. This way, if Holly has 3 hypers over 48hrs, or 1 hypo-her mum will receive a text alert telling her, so she is aware exactly of Holly's condition and Holly is still able to enjoy the independence of the camp.

Gestational Diabetes

Rachel is a 37 year old lady, who has developed gestational diabetes in the 3rd month of her pregnancy. It is vital for Rachel to keep her blood glucose levels under control throughout her pregnancy, as the implications could impact her and her baby. Rachel is obviously keen to monitor and record her blood glucose readings and her midwife and GP also need to monitor her progress throughout her pregnancy. Her GP has asked her to take blood glucose readings 8 times a day, and with the t+ diabetes system on her mobile phone this is so simple to do. She just inputs the data to her mobile, and then her Midwife and GP can review it daily through on the surgery computers. This means that if her blood sugar levels become dangerously high or low, her GP can contact her and ask her to come to the surgery, hopefully before any problems develop.
