Gentleman with COPD

Alfred is a 75 year old COPD Sufferer who has the t+ system to help him to manage his COPD symptoms. Over the last year, Alfred has had several chest infections which severely exacerbated his COPD. Now Alfred has the t+ system, he is able to record his symptoms such as breathlessness, and fatigue, and he also receives a warning when the temperature is forecast to drop below 4°C. Knowing a cold spell is on the way, he can ensure he protects himself from the weather. His practice nurse also monitors his symptoms from her computer, and so when she sees his COPD worsening which may indicate another chest infection-she is able to contact him immediately to arrange a review with him at the surgery and prescribe him antibiotics before the infection becomes too severe.
